New Louisiana Law Puts ATM Thieves In Jail for Minimum 5 Years

Louisiana signed a law on June 8th that mandates a minimum five-year sentence for anyone tampering/stealing/destroying/disabling an ATM in the state with the intent to steal the cash inside. This law is effective August 1, 2023.
